A mental health professional provider from North Range Behavioral Health will provide “gatekeeper” training to recognize early suicide warning signs and tools for an appropriate response. The attendees will be trained in the following: Question their meaning to determine suicide intent or desire, Persuade the person to accept or seek help, Refer the person to appropriate resources. This training is open to all of the Aims Community (students and employees) and is designed to teach intervention strategies for the layperson and professionals.
