As AI becomes an increasingly common part of student writing, many faculty are looking for practical tools and strategies to support authentic work in the classroom. This one-hour session will offer a hands-on introduction to Authorship, Grammarly's writing process tracking feature, along with an overview of the customization options available to faculty.

Topics will include:

  • What Authorship is, how it works in Google Docs and Microsoft Word, and how to enable automatic tracking
  • How to read and interpret Authorship reports, including what they reveal about the writing process
  • Practical ideas for integrating Authorship into assignment workflows
  • Tips for helping students get started, including common browser and sign-in considerations
  • An overview of Grammarly's customization options, including the generative AI toggle and suggestion settings, so users can configure the tool to fit their preferences and needs

A faculty colleague with firsthand classroom experience using Grammarly will also share observations and take questions alongside the presenter. All Aims faculty are welcome — no prior Grammarly experience required.
