The Center for Diversity & Inclusion is honored to celebrate Veterans, active service members, and military-affiliated students during Military Appreciation Week. Learn more about the week-long activities and various events taking place in recognition of their service.

Monday, November 7

•  Vet-zone Training with Dr. Sosa (11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Greeley Campus)

  •  Are you curious about the military culture at Aims? Have you always wondered about the acronyms and jargon that military-affiliated students throw around in class? Are you looking for pro tips on how to engage these folks in the classroom or on campus? Stop by the CDI room located in the Student Commons and be a part of an informative presentation led by Dr. Delia Sosa, Licensed Psychologist and VITAL Program Coordinator at the VA Medical Center.

Wednesday, November 9

• Resource Fair (11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Greeley Campus)

  • The resource fair will be located in the Student Commons, offering a day where students can connect and gather resources/information from Veteran and military affiliated organizations. 

Thursday, November 10

•  Resource Fair (11 a.m. – 1 p.m., Windsor Campus)

  •  The resource fair will be located in the Windsor Campus Public Safety Institute lobby, offering a day where students can connect and gather resources/information from Veteran and military-affiliated organizations.

Friday, November 11

•  Flag Raising Ceremony (9 – 10 a.m., Greeley Campus)

  • Join us between Student Commons and West View, where we will be conducting a flag ceremony in honor of those who have served and who are serving.

On-Going All Week - Thank you Cards & Flags 

• Thank You cards will be provided for you to give to an active service member or Veteran. In addition, small American flags are available for you to plant in designated areas on both campuses. You can pick up thank you cards or flags at the following locations. 

  • Greeley Campus (Student Commons 120)

  • Windsor Campus (Public Safety Institute Lobby Area)
