About this Event

#SoundTheAlarmThe Center for Diversity & Inclusion is calling on students, staff, and faculty to step forward as volunteers for a crucial cause. On Saturday, April 13, we have the opportunity to make a significant impact in our Weld community by joining the Eaton Installation Rally, part of the Red Cross Colorado Home Fire Campaign.
According to the Red Cross, home fires claim seven lives every day, but a simple tool like a working smoke alarm can halve the risk of death. The American Red Cross is dedicated to preventing these tragedies through its nationwide Sound the Alarm events. This year, volunteers will be meeting at the Eaton Fire Station and split into groups of three to install free smoke alarms, help families create escape plans, and spread vital fire safety information.
We're looking for 10-20 volunteers who are ready to contribute to this life-saving effort. No prior experience is necessary; it is just a willingness to learn, take a short training session on the day of the event, and help those in need. Listen to Audra’s story to hear how this campaign helps families like hers every year!
Click here to sign up! You will receive additional details by email or text. Be part of this important day and make a difference in the safety of our communities. The deadline to sign up to help with the Center for Diversity and Inclusion is Monday, April 8.
