Juan Martinez is a writer and an associate professor of English at Northwestern University and the author of Best Worst American, a story collection published by Small Beer Press, and also the horror novel Extended Stay, forthcoming from University of Arizona Press’s Camino del Sol series in 2023. He lives with his family near Chicago.
