This group is dedicated to increasing voting, civic learning, and democratic engagement at Aims. This includes but it is not limited to:

• voter registration
• non-partisan information on elections and ballot measures
• learning about your community, how decisions are made and issues related to the community
• information on the role government plays in everyday life
• growing awareness/understanding of government and political processes
• acknowledge that everyone has a voice and value
• provide engagement beyond the electoral process
• empower students to use their voice
• increase critical thinking, decision-making, collective engagement and responsibility

Last year, the group partnered with the IssueVoter platform to promote civic engagement on campus. It’s a free nonpartisan tool for students, faculty and staff to learn more about political candidates and issues.
